couple of things on the contraband...
first off. i like ride. they make a great product and i can say that from personal experience so that makes me want to say that this SHOULD be a quality product. 2nd. i'm not sure how much anchor you are getting with that little plastic strap. doesnt look like it would be enough to hold the front of the boot. but i could be very wrong. its an interesting concept for sure. 3rd. i would never buy a new design/concept binding the first year out. let it go a year and wait to see what happens with it. 2nd and 3rd year models will fix any 'bugs' that were overlooked or unforseen. i'm interested to see if any of the ride team riders will rock these bindings this year. if the team like em and will ride em they may be a legit product. just my humble .02 cents.

Most painful and horrid binding I've ever used in my life. That toe strap doesn't hold you in at all. Me and my shop guys were popping out of it at the Demo day. Its bad when we tell ride we won't carry something because we're a HUGE ride dealer.

i'd heard that ride tweaked the angles and fit and stuff on the contras after all the shop demoes...................?
i wouldnt get them though, i like looser ankle straps and tight toe straps, cant achieve that fit with these. if you really want the speed, k2 auto, or flow would be a better choice.
