Park/Pipe Snowboard For A Big And Tall Guy?
I've been skateboarding for a long time and now I really want to get into snowboarding. I've been doing research online about boards, boots, bindings etc. I'm wanting a snowboard mainly for tricks like rails and some nice air grabs/spins, something maybe on the lighter side with good pop and has ability for style. I'm 25 years old, my height is 6'5, pretty stocky at 255 pounds, and have a size 14 men's shoe.
I'm looking for a good park/pipe style snowboard for around $600 or less that would work well for my size. From my understanding, I will need a wide board as I got big feet as well as a longer board because of my weight.
I've read many good things about Lib Tech Skate Banana BTX 2013 but not sure if 159W would be long enough for me? I also read good things about GNU Riders Choice C2PBTX Wide 2013 and it has 166W but not sure if it is really what I need for park/pipe? Same goes for the Lib Tech Skunk Ape C2BTX HP Wide 2013 169W but I'm guess it isn't really a park/pipe board? I'm open to any brand that is good but mostly hoping to get a somewhat higher end board. Mostly been looking at Lib Tech, GNU, Never Summer, and maybe Burton or Rome or K2 or Capita and a few others. Anyone know a really good board that would work well for me?
