If you want some new gear, try and dont buy, get it from an american. its way cheaper. i got a pair of Burton c60 bindings for $200, they retail for $630. i got K2 Darko boots for $200, they retail for $399. i got a specail blend jacket for $135, they retail at $380. thats over $800 dollas of savings. they only thing i get from Aus is my board thats it. Use websites such as ebay.com dogfunk.com sierrasnowboard.com. try in a local store and buy online you will save a shit load of cash.

Hey mate
Yeah i've saved about 1k on gear just from ordering over ebay and online shopping stores over in the states. Only i thing i buy here are the small things such as armor and thermals but for outer ware and equipment its online. Most retailers know of this and don't be surprised whether they do it themselves. |

Spent about 2-3 months gathering up gear for this season as i just started to get into snowboarding seriously.
Main places i go to shop you have already mentioned others: REI: Outdoor Gear, Equipment & Clothing for Camping, Hiking, Cycling, Fitness, Kayaking, Canoeing and More Tactics Board Shop: Snowboard / Skate / Surf / Clothing / Gear Skis, Snowboards, Wakeboards, and Apparel | evo Altrec.com - The North Face, Patagonia, Backpacks, Shoes, Board Shorts, Camping Equipment <=== don't know the correct spelling but its around there. eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices for stuff that can't be shipped out of the US. *cough*burton*cough* Buzzillions.com product reviews - Get the Buzz before you buy! => for non-biased user reviews on items Reviews from Epinions => searches online stores for an item you want. I'm very careful when making purchases online so i do a bit of research before i commit to an item. Enjoy. |

Well if you prefer to pay $800 dollars in AUS instead of paying $320 inc shipping from the US for a snowboard by all means you are welcome to. It is doomed because it is stupid expensive, I haven't had the the chance to travel around the world to snowboard yet but by looking at prices online compared to AU in reference to accommodation, travel and lift passes its expensive and with snowboarding gear marked up by 100%-200% it doesn't help.
