Default Please help a newbie to buy his gear...

I have been riding few times and i have rented the gear but for this next season I am serious about it and i want to invest some money into it.

I am 23 year old. 5'8" and 145 Lbs. I wear 10 - 10.5 Shoes.
I already asked bunch of people on what to get and i did little bit of research. I want all mountain board.

For the board I am willing to spend $400+ and I decide on Arbor Element 55 board.

For the binding I am only interested in Ride because i heard they are the best, but i have no idea which one to get, I am willing to spend $250+, i want quality stuff.

And for the boots, i am leaning toward DC Allegiance which cost like $250.

I am willing to spend extra money, as long as i know i am getting quality stuff. Since i am spending a lot of money, i want to know if i am getting good stuff or you would recommend me some thing better for the money.

Just a heads up...you can find gear just as good for a lot less. Granted, Arbor's stuff generally doesn't go on sale too often.

Board - Gnu CHB MTX $200 on Sierrasnowboard
Bindings - Ride Betas for 125 on trusnow or Union Forces for 100 on Sierra
Boots...well, make sur eyou try them on. Price isn't everything with them; they have to be comfortable for your foot

Default boots

yeah you cant really decide on what boots you want. the boots choose you. make sure you try lots of different boots on because they feel different on everybodys feet.

deffinately don't have to spend that much on quality but it looks as if you already have your sights set on some things, like mentioned before definately try on the boots you gotta be comfortable, I found more comfort in my thirty two's than I did in the DC's I tried on but that was just me. GL on the gear search man.

Try to avoid DC, they have some problems with quality issues.

Go for Vans or Salomons, but be sure to try them on before you buy them. Every pair of boots fits everyone differently.

As for the bindings, look at the Rome 390's they are great for park.
