de-waxing a board, base cleaners - Snowboarding Forum

now i am really new to snowboarding so please.....be gentle.
now i have heard that a goodand cheap base cleaner is kerosene, so long as you don't decide to smoke when using it. i was wondering if there is any potential damage to the board if left on to long, used to much, ect.

Only problem I could think of is not waxing after and letting it dry out.

ok i was just wondering, cause kerosine is nice and cheap i just wanted to be sure it wouldn't kill my board.

Why exactly are you dewaxing your board? for the most part you don't ever need to...

Yeah thats a bit abrasive, personally I'd stick to the buck o nine citrus cleaner you get from the grocery store.
