Thumbs down

To be honest I have never been a fan of burton website, it takes forever to get anywhere. This new one in particular takes longer to load than the previous one, in addition to that to get any info on boards such as (size, characteristics, ect) require further clicks.

New developers are making this sites that require to much memory, imagine how long it takes to get any info if you are trying to access it from your cellphone.

I would say that this new is about as crappy as the previous one, little improvements in the layout, but they screwed up with the loading times and the extra clicking to get anywhere.

While burtons site sucks its still not as bad as Salomons from last year. God I want to kick a small puppy in the teeth because that site sucks so much.

Anyways did you guys see who's off their global and pro teams? Fairly interesting mix ups.

^ HUH? Rides site is pretty easy to use. Boards you click boards, boots you click boots, bindings you click bindings.

Hah. My housemate is a graphic designer, and we get in this fight all the time. IMHO, dynamic web sites with lots of flash (or flash-like graphics) SUCK. If your looking for a technical visual experience, such web sites might be nice. However, they are not user friendly in any capacity for the exact reasons you mention. It often seems like many web sites are designed with the target audience of other designers, rather than the public at large.

On this same tip, if any of ya'll have a MySpace page with a zillion moving graphics, videos, etc GET RID OF THEM. THEY SUCK.

I actually don't mind Rome's website, but it would be nice if they could even get it to be a little more simple.

If you look at google, that site has nothing on it. I think that's one of the reasons they became so big. Fast initial loading times and good results.

I wonder if burton want's to take a look at this thread .... Money well spend.....
