Burton 08 Boards - Snowboarding Forum

I went on to burton.com today because it is the first day they put their new 08 boards online and I have to say............ WTF???? All of those boards are ugly as hell except the Air, Twin, and the Custom is okay. But overall I was pretty disappointed with those graphics. Anyone else agree with me?

yeah i see what you mean. the whole splatter paint and abstract look on some of them look terrible however, i like the elite, the clash and the bullet (notice that those 3 are all in the cheaper board section). i think some designs are good but the color scheme is off, my opinion.

Yea I think those are alright too. But I was really hoping this years Dominant would go back towards the 05/06 model instead of this even newer and uglier design. Also most of the boards dont even resemble last years, especially the Air, Royale, and Twin. I was kinda hoping the 07/08s would be like last years but with slightly alterred (and better) graphics but they kinda went in the opposite direction.

I was was actually going to post this up later tonight as well, haha then I saw this post! I really love the new twin it looks great but your right, the rest are just complete junk =/ I'm actually really considering buying the new twin it just looks fantastic!

WTF happened to the AIR though..? The 05/06 AIR looked fantastic, the 06/07 AIR looked ok but the 07/08 air is like omfg take it back.

Custom X and everything else along with the air just looks fugly

I'm totaly buying the Twin

Im Glad im not the only one who thought
burtons 07/08 boards were fugly not counting
the custom i think they improved it quite a
bit to last years graphics

Really? I think the 05/06 Dominant is the best they've had in years. Out of the last three models I would have to say (from favorite to least favorite):
1. 05/06 Dominant
2. 06/07 Dominant
3. 07/08 Dominant

i agree...i dont know what these guys think with snowboard design...i guess everyone likes somthin different but i find very few boards that look nice...and its not limited to burton

I don't think I ever once cared what a board looked like. JMHO.
