im 15 years old, 5'6" and 140 lb's. i just need to know a good board for my size and weight. ive been snowboarding for a little while and im alright but i plan to get good this winter and i need a board that can stay with me. my price range is about 500 for board boots and bindings together. any suggestions?

At 15 you're still growing so I'd say you don't want anything expensive yet. You'll outgrow it in just a season or two. You can get some pretty decent package deals for around that much, but I couldn't tell you which ones are best. I'd look for a nice brand though. If you go for something like Lamar, it will only last you one season or so, which might be ok for you. I'd save some money until you can get a board that will last you a while. Unless you want to get a new one every season. Some people like that.

You could get used ones pretty cheap on auction sites like e-bay. That's where I got my Rome Anthem. One season old and it cost me less than half price. You can also find season closeout sales right about now, but it might be slim pickings.

i would agree with flick on this one..your growing still so i wouldnt invest to much in it cause your likly to change soon...if you have the money to do so great...when i was 13 i was 5'2 120 lbs...by the time i was 14 i was 5'11 180 lbs...this is why you shouldnt try to invest to much into it...dont know how much your body will change over the next year or even during the comming season...my $.02
