I won this Mountain Dew snowboard a while back and wanted to put it together and start boarding. I don't know anything about the board and wanted to get some advice before I bought bindings for it. Im new to all of this so any help would be great. I bought Ride boots which are a size 8.5 and i wanted to know if there are specific bindings i should get or will any bindings fit this board. I've been looking on ebay for the bindings and they have some good prices. I don't need anything special considering I'm a new boarder. If anyone has some information about this board (what kind it is or if it is good for a beginner) that would be awesome. Thanks.

http://www.snowboardingforum.com/wel...nt-guides.html Welcome to the forums. Since your new to this, I wouldnt just buy anything on ebay. You dont want a bad experience your first time snowboarding. It takes practice and No Fear mental attitude. Take it slow and have lots of patience. Good thing that you bought boots first. Because, not all bindings fit all boots. If you know a Snowboarding/ski specific shops near you, I would recommend you talking to someone professional about what your wants and needs are. This way, they can give you information and guide you in the right direction. Also, always test fit the bindings with the Ride boots you got, and see if they fit good. |

ok thanks for the help. one more quick question, what do you think the front of the board is? both ends seem to be the same width and hight off the ground. I'm thinking the part with the design is the front because of the writing.

To be sure, you could measure the distance of the nearest inserts (screw holes) to each end of the board. If one end is longer than the other, that's the nose/front. If they're both the same, then it won't really matter. |

On the other hand I do buy local when possible, because with used gear I like to see it for myself. |
