Hey everybody, I'm new here after just finding this site yesterday and boy is it awesome how many people are actually helpful in this community.
I thought I would throw this question out there for anyone who can give me some opinions that may have ridden the boards Im looking at To start off, Im looking for a new board this year as mine is a little beat up. Looking for an all mountain board with good grip in fast corners and high stability on a bombing run, with some good park use out of it. I ride goofy footed mainly, have a hard time riding switch for some reason Im 5' 9", about 175, and I know that a 155-157 would be a good range. My current selection of boards are the: Ride Machete GT K2 Turbo Dream and the Burton Custom Flying V or V Twin (what is the difference between these two?) Im an intermediate rider that enjoys kickers rails and boxes in the park. Any help or suggestions or opinions would be great Thanks guys |

20 -25% is not good. Burton stuff gets discounted a lot .
Heck the whole snowboard industry is overpriced. A deal is 50% or more for all brands. Popular brands like Never Summer and Mervin boards 50% is good deal. For Burton the higher end boards are good deals but the lower price point are not. You should never spend more then 300$ on a top end board (retail 400-600$) Boot size? If you have 10-10.5 try the GNU danny kass monster edition board 155 cm c2btx from last year found on ebay b/t 175-300$. good for mountain and park , ok for rails. mtx grip |

its all the same, the only difference is some places have discount codes and promos to get you all excited. during May to August is when discounts are at its steepest.
Any dealers can tell use when sell thur goes on for markdowns for each brands? 60 days from end of year? or is it date specific? Are there min advertised price in this industry? |

Very rarely have i seen it as "all the same" for end of season sales. Thats why my local shop is running the board for 429.99 and last seasons flying v is still 430 on the-house as well, i havent seen high end burtons for any lower than that ever, so 300$ is not likely to be a high end board

Well I bought 3 brand new fish 156 in 2011 current model that year for under 300$ with shipping.
The house never has steep discounts. You have to shop around. I got a neversummer evo last year for 250 brand new 50% off current year . I also got a gnu Billy goat 275 last year for 50% off. You have to be smart and look around. |
