Help buying board...

I'm looking to buy a board this year instead of renting. I've been twice and progressed pretty well (both sides edging n 180s off kickers). I am a wakeboarder by heart but have no idea what size board, which board, etc to get for the snow. I want a good board in the median price range. Any help n suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

well throughout my experiences your weight does determine what size board you want
but the type of board is determined by what you want to do with the board
so are you more park or freeride oriented, seeing as youre just starting out you might want something about even in both categories. Also your price range could very well affect the board you buy
so post more info :P

I weigh 165. I am wanting more of an expert board as I progress quickly. I hit rails on the wakeboard so I would like to do that while snowboarding too but seeing that alot of places we go don't really have terrain parks I would like to have an all around board. Money is not a huge factor but I would like to stay around $600-800 or so.

It's a mistake alot of people make. Expert boards are for experts, and are going to hold you back as your getting started up. Don't go out and buy what's touted as the "best", you'd be better off looking for a softer intermediate board that isn't going to bite your ass off if you make a mistake.
