Need advice on which size Libtech TRice Pro to get
Which size would suit me better. the 153 or 157.
Im 5'11, weight is around 170-175lbs. Boot size is 9.5 (Burton shrinkage tech if that matters). I want an all-mountain board that can hold on ice, allow me to hit small natural jumps and park jumps (currently learning), charge the mountain but still have some playfulness. Im thinking I should probably get the 157 but I wanted to make sure. Thanks in advance. |

Pros and cons of each size? |
Go bigger for your size, riding style and interests.
157 or 157.5 obviously makes no difference. Don't worry about the "ride this board 3 cms shorter bit" (it's the same with the Lib btw). You'll be happier at speed with more board. Plus a slightly bigger board will make popping off jumps slightly easier. I'm 5'7 140 and I ride a 154 Lib TRS. Rode a 151 older TRS before and I prefer the 154. I'm not a rails guy, just jumps, hits and free ride. |
i'm about 180lb and would go w/ the 157 but i lean more towards the freeride side of things vs. freestyle. for you going w/ the 154 will allow you to flex the board more and be easier to initiate turns, jib, and seem more playful whereas the 157 will seem more solid while going fast. you'll be just fine w/ the 157 regarding turns etc. my vote for you would be the 157 for a good all mountain board.
and i cannot agree more on going w/ the TRS and rider's choice over the trice. |
