Suggestions on bindings?

Hey everyone this is my first ever post but I need some help. I've finally decided to get my own snowboard gear after 3 years of casual boarding and renting.

I'm about 6'1" 160 lbs with a size 12 boot. I just bought an 07-08 burton custom wide 162 from the-house.com and I got a sweet deal on it. Now I need bindings and boots though.

I've been considering burton missions or cartels from this year or last year. Also though after looking around on this forum I saw that Union is getting a lot of buzz and hype and I checked out their website and they seem legit. A couple people have mentioned problems with last years union models and I know they're a new company and many people think they'll fix the problems for this year. I'd be getting only this years models and I really like the Forces.

As far as boots I was talking to a guy from the boardshop at wisp ski resort and he was mentioning how killer boots with BOA are especially the double BOA system now that does inner and outer lacing. I'm really interested in the focus by ThirtyTwo. Any comments?

Is there any particular reason no one has replied... Did I set it up wrong where someone can't reply because of a setting I might have missed? Can someone send me a private message if nothing is working?

You shouldn't pick a boot on looks, it plays a part, but every boot fits differently and its all about trying on as many as you can to find what one works best for you. You should be able to find one with the BOA system that does.

On bindings, rome 390's seem to get alot of buzz here, i have a pair of last seasons 390's and love em. I have also tryed the union forces, and i liked them too, they seemed like a solid binding and their owe-so good look'n. I personally can't comment on the burton bindings but maybe someone else can.
