The Restricted Custom is a flying V, essentially the same board as the Custom flying V but with different graphics.

The regular Custom will be fine on piste and off. When I said it won't be a race board, I meant there are better boards in the Burton lineup (Custom X) and elsewhere for full on charging. The Custom is all the board that 95% of riders need...

Default New Gear - It's been a while

Keep in mind last years restricted custom with the drinks graphic is a camber hump not Flying V.

So let me see if this sounds about right for the 2013 Burton custom boards:

1. Custom - The original camber Burton all mountain board, great for groomers and it is what the following boards are based on
2. Custom X - Stiffer, more expensive Custom, better for charging
3. Custom Flying V - Camber and rocker Custom, enhanced float through pow?
4. Custom Flying V Twin - Custom flying V with twin ends - for someone who rides switch often
5. Restricted Custom - Custom Flying V with different graphics

Does that summarize these well? I'm thinking either the Custom or the Custom Flying V (or Restricted Custom) matches my style best. The Flying V might be better for if I ride powder fairly often or is it better to stick with pure camber with my type of riding?

As far as for the 2012 Customs, the only difference is the Restricted Custom is a Burton Custom instead of Flying V?

No the 2012 restricted custom is a much more mellow version of Flying V. It is more camber oriented.. ( think -along the lines of mervin c3btx)

The 2012 restricted custom seems like it would fit my style well. Right now I am looking into these.
  • 2012 Custom
  • 2012 Restricted Custom
  • 2012 Custom Flying V

Anyone have experience or preference with these 3 boards?
