Another option than getting 390's? - Snowboarding Forum

What are some other bindings that would be like the 390's? Are the Burton Cartels just as good? What would you recomend.. bindings will be for a rome agent by the way.

Cartels are nice but about a thousand times stiffer. Um I hear good things about the Union Force bindings and I'm actually going to be rockin a set of those this year on my Graft. Hopefully BA will chime is and throw a few more options in your face.

I dont know about 1000 times stiffer. I had cartels on a weapon, and loved them on it.

Forces are a good choice, contacts and cadets as well, they'll be softer more for jibbing and park, not pipe though.

k2 formulas, autos, ride betas...

they are a bit pricey but i just got a pair and they are amazinggg
lots of cusion nice straps adjustable everything you could ever need

kinda off topic, but has anyone seen the contrabands by ride, what does everyone think
personally i think they look pretty revolutionary and kick ass.

I liked triads, but they're no better than the cartels and the cartels are cheaper. Though that was compared to my 05 cartels, wich were sick nasty and didn't have as much stock forward lean on them. I DONT LIKE FORWARD LEAN, so when my minimum is like 5-10 degrees, I get IRATE.

Contrabands are a good idear for jibbers, but they need to get some years into them. You'll know they're worth buying if they're still around and slightly different 3-4 years from now. There is going to be stuff that dont work right on them and RIDE will need to tweak them. Look how long it took FLOW to come out with a binding that really doesnt have many functionality problems. actually I dont know if they have, I think they had problems with their cassettes from last year. ANYWAY, pretty much with any revolution in any industry, I like to see some time backing it.

Get them if you want to further the REVOLUTION, figure out what you dont like, and gripe to RIDE a sh!t ton so they get the message.

If you want to stick with ride, and want a jib setup, get some of the movement model bindings, and make sure they have the rubber grid toe strap, its one of the best, if not the best, convertible toe straps on the market

Worst idea of 08/09 season ever.

Everyone in my shop that used them popped out of them, they suck.
