pardon my ignorance,

What is the difference between a British and a English person?

Not being rude or anything just curious.

i don't think yer being rude.... and so...

say you met someone from Belfast; would you think they were british or irish?

or what if someone with a mad off scottish accent was chatting to you; would you consider them scottish or british?

have you seen the film 'twin town'? are the characters in it british or welsh?

i realise it is rude to ansa a Q with a Q and so to respond directly; the united kingdom of great britain is england, scotland, wales and northern island. those from such place are british.

however, the fact that no aspect of my family is from anywhere other than england, makes me english.:D

i have no animosity against those with whacky accents from my island.... but i am proud to be from where i am from.

and that is that.:)

if you're proud of it, why are you looking into moving to Canada ehhhhh? :)

PaoloSmythe 09-01-2008 11:06 AM

i am proud of where i am from

that is not to say i like where i am

(or where i fear it might be going)

as wonderful as england might be.... i feel that there is somewhere even better!
