Salomon Storm???

Hey all,

I did a bunch of searching and found nothing. I just bought a Salomon Storm ('07) snowboard at the big sale here in Denver.

I tried to search the forums to see some reviews of the board and I just cant find any reviews of it period????

I am between novice and intermediate - had to take a 2 year break from riding. I also just bought new Salomon Brigade boots. Any info on these boots with this board and Salomon sp4 bindings (03 model year) would be great!

All help is appreciated!!

Thanks!

Jeff

I bought my stuff from a Salomon rep..

This isnt really constructive, I'm looking for some information on this board. He originall suggested the strobe, but it wasnt in my size.

Please I'd just like some info on the Storm and the Brigade Boot.

Thanks,

Jeff

Thats the problem you bought from the Rep of course its the best.

Now you have gear that you bought without doing any research on it.

The bindings are crap, they were crap in 03, nothing has changed in 5 years. The liner in the Brigade is a frigging joke its some of the worst foam on earth, once it packs out you're going to be miserable in it, the shape on those liners is next to non existant so there's no asymetry to it.

Like I said take it back go talk to a competant sales person at a shop not a rep thats job is to push his products.

Tell me did he have flowing blonde hair and look Norwegian or was he a midget with a gravely voice and a beard?

I did some research. Theyre actually SP4 bindings. I liked them on my old burton board but my board is old now.

You still havent said anything about the board I did buy.

Its not easy finding a board for me since I am only 5'5 - a 149 board isnt easy to find.

So, okay, I should return the stuff I got - the board and boots.

Want to be helpful and give me some suggestions on what I should get then? I did specifically want a solomon board but thats because I really like the spine technology. I'm clearly not married to it but I really like the idea of it.

I ride groomers mostly, Im closer to an intermediate rider.

Thanks,
Jeff

Whats your height have to do with choosing a boards length? Seriously? A board rides based on the down weight on the camber, its what drives the board. A board is built in size runs based on certain weight aspects not how tall the person is. You probably should have gone with the Strobe thats my .02 cents.

Is the Storm a BAD board?

I actually like riding a shorter board, I feel like I can turn easier - as I'm not that great - I guess I just always thought shorter board make it easier to properly turn?? Whats the tallest board someone my height, and 125lbs could ride? I also am like a size 6.5 boot ha!
