Sup, fellow big-footers (12+)! Just making a thread so you've all got a place to write about being a wide boarder. Like, when you see a board you dig and it's too narrow for you,or being forced to get a board too long for you just cuz of the waist size, or trying to pack down your boots and having that suck, or generally just being more limited than our 11- brethren. on the other hand, you can write about stuff that works for you. Like me, I've got an 07/08 Rome MAchine 157 and it couldn't be better for me, but there was alot of dissapointment before I found it. Peace, and all praise the Rome Riff.

I'm 13 and have a size 12 foot. I'm getting my first board this year and probably gonna end up with a rome slash. last year i was an 11 and i rented a board and my toes kept catching on the snow. I can't wait for this season and to finally get a board that will fit my feet.

Big feet suck. Luckily, board manufacturers have realized there are a lot of us out there who need wide boards. I remember when I bought my first couple of boards in the 90's there wasn't an option for big-footed people. I've used the same narrow board for the last 9-10 years and finally stepped up and bought a new setup, including a Rome Slash. I can't wait to try it out.
snowsam, I dig the avatar. |

thanks for the good news...most of u probably already know but there are things you can buy to prevent your heel/toe from hitting the ground. It's like a plastic "lift plate" that go on under your bindings that give you more room when making deep carves. If anyone wants a link let me know.
