set up?

i want an opinion and maybe some information...... i have been given the choice between two year old comfy van boots. with a brand new ride kink and burton customs.. or a two year old 5150 board that is a little too big with customs and forum constant boots.

i weigh 100 punds and am 5. 2. should i go with a 1152v or a 147. i am likely to grow soon

The vans, customs and kink sounds the better of the two. How big is the kink?

well, the kink is the obvious choice. just cause I'd rather ride a skateboard in the snow over a 5150. luckily the kink is a noodle board so even though its really a little big for you, you can get away with it. and you say you should be growing soon so...

if I were you though, as long as your older than like 13, start lifting a sh!t ton and eating like 1500 to 2000 calories more a day than pyramid.gov tells you, you'll weigh enough by the end of the season for the 152 to be more OK.

unless you're a girl, in which case I don't recommend either board........or the workout regimen

Go for the Kink and Customs. When you say 'two year old Van boots' do you mean brand new boots from two seasons ago or boots some guy has worn for two years?

You should be fine on a 152. If you are new the bigger the board the better, if you are good than you will find a way to make it work. Especially if you are still going to grow... no point in getting a board you'll only be able to use one season.

careful with those boots

if they're too broken in with his feet, then they wont brake in for your feet. which is not good and will be uncomfortable, I'd ask to walk around in them for a WHOLE day before you decide.

bad fitting boots can ruin an entire season.

Agreed.

Boots are the one part of the snowboard package you can't second hand.

Your friend hopefully bought them because they were a good fit on his foot... his foot is different from yours.

If you are buying this stuff from him, ask if you can get some cash of and not take the boots. Right now shops are getting in their 09 stuff. They probably have old product that is in the way, so now is the prime time to find yourself a new pair of last season's boots at super cheap prices.
