When you apply studs, or any of those small diamond shaped do dads to your board...wipe the area down with alcohol, and let evaporate, warm the topsheet (carefully) with a hair dryer, apply studs on a warm topsheet and put something heavy on them (like a toolbox) and let it sit indoors overnight.

This has worked for me..never have I lost one.. try it. no need for a big bulky nipply stomp pad.

If you are losing your pads on the hill they were probably not intsalled properly. Never buy on the mountain and slap it on!! you will lose it everytime..

Yup did all that..have applied before many times to many boards...maybe just a bum set of spikes..just everyday I would be missing one..then another..eventually they were all gone by weeks end..actually I should correct myself..they weren't Dakine but Burton spikes..
