Is my board too long for a beginner?

Hey,

I just got this new K2 Believer 2011 board for free (154 cm). I didnt have the chance to use it yet. I only snowboarded twice in my life with rental equipment. From what I've read, the board seems to be a bit long for me (I'm 5'5" 140 pounds). I'm obviously going to keep the board and try it, but considering that I'm still a beginner, how much harder will it be for me to learn with this longer board?

Thanks

you will be fine w/ that length

I think you will be fine also. You should get a little more stability with a longer board, and that should help with your confidence as a beginning rider.

Thanks guys. Hopefully I'll be able to try it out this weekend :)
