Is Salomon the only boot maker that produces wide boots?

I got pwnt a few days ago when I went to buy a pair of DC Scout BOA boots. They are great boots, but since I've never had a pair that actually fit me (they were always too big) I bought a pair of size 9s. I thought they would settle but they haven't yet, after a day of walking around in them. My toes are cramped and really squeezed at the sides, so I think I will have to get another pair of Salomons since they are the only ones that I know of that make wide boots.

I previously had Salomon Dialogues (great freakin' boot, but too big). Probably getting another pair but 9.5 and wide.

Opinions? Stores haven't been carrying boots yet aside from this one sporting goods store near my work...

You just might need to heat mold the liner to fix the problem. But I'd say check out Celsius boots, Ride, K2,vans, and deelux.

Because someone has to call it how they see it!

I have the same problem. Ive tried larger boots but was even more uncomfortable. Ive done heat molding on all my boots and nothing helps for a truly wide foot. I Have the dialouges (wide) as well, so far there the only comfy boot i own. But if anyone knows of any other wide boots would be nice to know. Ive looked spent some time looking but havent found anything else yet...

I have the same problem. This year Salomon has three or four boots in a wide width..Also don't forget custom orthotics for a much better fit.

I will spend over 100 days on the hill this year instructing and I could not do w/o the custom orthotics. As far as I know salomon are the only ones making wide boots..chk the new models on the salomon website.

Heat molding the liner along with custom footbeds should alleviate most of your issues. Try em all, some standard width boots run wide so keep an open mind about this..good luck.

I don't like to mention brands but thirty two standard width boots w/custom footbeds work for me.

The liners in them are different. The brigade has a super fucking shitty liner in it.

geez...the Synapse, Dialogue, Dialogue SLCT and Brigade are offered in a wide width by Salomon this year.

chk the bloody website. Ask BurtonAveneger about custom footbeds/orthotics. I don't work in a shop anymore. Superfeet used have a system..

I am sure there are others local cats who can make them for you these days...and no I am not talking about the off the shelf superfeet footbeds, insoles... whatever you want to call them.

I have a local guy here in the hood who makes them for world cup ski racers, and snowboarders.

I highly recommend them to people who are in pain or have hard to fit feet.

Is not the word "footbed" pretty self explanatory???
