Need assistance with racing/pow board. Please Help!

So I joined my school's snowboard team and I need a board to race with. I love the Lib Tech boards with the rocker and magnatraction, so I don't want to stray away from them, preferably looking at the Skate Banana. I'm 5'7", 130lbs, and 21 so no longer growing. I ride a lot of park at Bear Mnt with my 147 Artifact. This board will be mainly used at Mammoth Mnt. Ok so now to it...
I was looking into the 152 Skate Banana, but I was told that the 156 would be better suited for racing. However, I want something that I will still be able to maneuver easily with and still have fun riding with, either groomed or pow. So my question is, will a 152 Skate Banana be OK for racing? Thanks in advanced.

You don't want a rocker for racing, and the banana is too soft. With rocker you can't ride any way except centered. SO, if you get tail or nose heavy in a race, your goin down. Look more into the TRS MTX. Still got magne so it will rail turns, but is still a fun board. For racing, look at the 154. If you want racing and fun stick, you can get away with the 151.

Snowboarding Is...

That thing I do to escape the world and have fun with my friends

cool i appreciate the help nivek. i was just so tempted to buy the skate banana that i'd figure i would use it for racing as well, but i will definitely look into the TRS now. does anybody else have an opinion on the Skate Banana 152 for racing purposes?
oh and just curious, does the rocker fair well in powder? i know mammoth occasionally gets dumped on, so maybe ill have another board prepared for these occasions

Get the skate banana if you want to lose and ride a soft jib stick.

Ok so Skate Banana is a no go. Thanks a lot I would have purchased this board for racing without even trying it. Will the TRS still be pretty nice for powder days? Sorry I'm a n00b

Are you looking for a hardboot setup, then? Slalom, GS, mix? Price range?

Realistically if you're serious about racing you do not want a rockered, banana, reverse cambered board. You want a stiff directional board with at least a tri radial sidecut or a quadratic sidecut thats really deep.
