Hi all new around here.
i just bought a burton uninc 156 07 board and im not to sure what bindings will suit it best.
I was looking at the Cartels but a friend said that i should go for the C60's instead, im after a light binding as well any suggestions?

I would got with either the Cartel's (if you freeride a lot) or the Missions if you ride alot of park. If you are an all mountain kind of guy, try the new Triads. They have a softer baseplate and stiffer highback which makes them useable everywhere.
The C60's are good if you like really stiff bindings, but they are better suited to stiffer boards like the T6.

If he bought an Uninc, he's stuck with either Burton or Forum. If it's an 07, it has a 2-hole pattern which only works with Burton manufactured gear, and the same goes for an 08 with the EST tracks.

I would avoid C60s unless you know you like super stiff bindings.

The Cartels can be a bit much because they have an insane degree of natural forward lean. That really depends on your own preferences.

Contrary to popular belief if you're creative with your angles you can fit Drakes on an Unic and I'm fairly sure Romes as well.

  • The Cartels will be more responsive, the P1s will be more comfortable.
  • Cartels have a lot more forward lean, to the point that some people don't like to ride them because it forces you to keep your knees bent. That's all personal preference.
  • They have the same ankle straps (at least for 06-07, the P1s got an upgrade in 08).
  • The P1s have a much better toecap, the Cartels have a convertible strap.
  • I believe the P1s are heavier, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Take your pick, all depends on what you want to do. The P1s are probably the safer choice, as they're less aggressive and a more mellow binding. But if you like to ride hard and enjoy a responsive ride, you may want to the Cartels instead.

It depends on your price range. If you are looking for a light binding the Cartel or the P1 may be your best bet. Do you ride park, freeride, or all mountain?

Well price isnt a big issue. I ride mostly park here (Australia) but im going to Canada to do some more all mountain and thats sort of why im asking about this, as i dont wanna fork out the $$$ and be pissed off with the setup when im overseas for a different pair. Plus i dont like to much of a forward lean so maybe the P1's? i dont know its a tough one.
