this is a tub brush my roommate has. . .seems like hard plastic bristles . . .Just wondering if this will do? =]

Almost any brush will do fine, including the one in your pic.

Schweet!! =] Its clean, scored new cloths iron from friend, massive scrapper from bulk bins a work, bought some "Super hot Sauce" and scotch-brite pads. . .Bam! Lift-Off ~~
