Buying Tips! Suggestions needed!

Hey yall. Im still someone of a newbie when it comes to snowboarding; ive only been freeriding for about 3 seasons, but Im looking to buy new boots and bindings. I have the Flow FL55 bindings, but i really dont think im liking the control i have with them. I was looking for a good two-strap binding and was wondering what yall think!

I know boots are a nightmare, but im looking for a pair that is cost effective and will last a awhile. Just lemme know what has worked for yall, or didnt work heh, thanks!

Union Contacts? I'm hearing good stuff about them.

The only way you are going to make your boots last is if you don't go riding. In the life of a boot you see it getting wet, warm, dry and then all over again... this eventually wears down the internals of the boot and liner.

I think the general rule for boots is about 60 days of riding before you will start to notice that they don't fit quite right and aren't as comfortable or dry as they once were.

I vent my frustrations at

Thanks, ill look into it. I have those, forgive me here, the BOA(?) boots??? The ones with the metal wire...they are easy and all, but the wire is starting to rip the material its attached to!! I mean I havent even used them all that much! I just need to get away from that wire nonsense!

^ Its Boa and you either have a first generation boa or a low end boot from a crappy company.

I have found the Salomon boots real nice, comfortable, light, smaller profile. Plus the lacing system is real nice, and you don't have to pay the $$$ for the upper end BOA boots.

Made the switch to Toe Cap bindings and will never go back.
