Bought a board over ebay. Burton cheetah, but its a second. The board was brand new with the plastic wrapping and the sticker. Its looks flawless and beautiful but i found a couple of weird spots. Can anyone look at them and tell me if its anything note worthy. I can imagine this board only seeing pow and nothing else, unless its super good for groomers.

Some of those pics make me think this board should have been destroyed. The typical Burton 2nds I've seen are more or a blemish. Your pics look like stright damage and fuck ups. The one pick looks like a Mervyn the way the edge just ends.

Yeah that edge doesn't meet the other end is the only thing concerning me. It looks like it way cut by accident. probably doesn't matter but...

Can you get a wider angle shot of the first pic? Depending on where that is it's not a big deal. My board doesn't have full wrap edges, they only go about 2" past the effective edge, because beyond that the stuff is useless anyway.

How much did you pay?

400 bucks. there's nothing wrong with the board otherwise. But this is making me believe there might be something else i cant spot. i emailed burton. Not going to tell them i got it off eBay. Ill just say i bought it and lost the receipt.

Does the board have "second" stamped on the bottom...just wondering how you know it's a second other than from the ebay listing. Reason I ask is because I was looking into getting my son a Burton Protest Second and researched it a bit. Didn't buy the board so can't compare.

I also heard most of these just had graphical issues, nothing construction related.

I also went over the board. The edges seem fine and doesnt look any better then my brand new billy goat did. The nose is a little dinged but nothing horrible at all. The only thing is that edge missing. Like they cut it off or something. Im sure the board will be fine tho, thinking of pairing it up with 2014 genesis.

Oh shoot, that does say "2nd"....everyone I've seen, just online not in person, has the word "second". Well, according to Burton they're covered by Warranty so you should be okay, not taking into consideration you purchased it off ebay. Good luck, probably rides fine.

Yeah that's on the tail WELL after the effective part of the edge, I'd say it's a non-issue. Looks like a nice board otherwise!
