Anyone tried Wickers brand?

Wickers seems to be a competitor of under armour, although they are not well known at all. I want to get Wickers long sleeve shirt, bottoms, gloves, hood, neckguard from them but I can't find anything comparing them to any other company like Under Armour. Should I risk getting them or should I just go with Under Armour or some other brand?

I read that I can get something similar to Under Armour from Walmart with CoolMax technology. Would you guys recommend this at all over Under Armour?

Don't know anything about Wickers but I know enough to tell you not to buy gloves from some strange company.

You can be the first to pioneer the other stuff though...let us know.

They seem like they're similar to wal mart brand from sierra snowboarding, so I'm not sure if I'd do it.

Generally for this layer, do you guys wear the same size as normal clothing, or go a size down/up?

I'd say same size. No reason to feel like your riding in spandex all day.

thanks! I'll do more reserach on wickers and see if its good. Snowboarding Info, News, Pictures, Forum, Shop, Travel and Community | ABC-of-Snowboarding recommended it but no one else seems to know about it.

if you want the best 1st layer you can get your hands on, buy Patagonia Capilene... it is by far the best shit I've ever used without a doubt. I own Burton, Chilli's, Under Armour, North Face etc and none of them have come close to the level of whicking and temp regulation of the Patagonia gear. It's a little expensive but worth every penny

I'm curious about the WICKERS brand myself?

I have a few wickers long sleeve shirts. They work very well as an under shirt, not quiet as good but comparable to my Diadora and Underarmor gear but I would definitely not hesitate to buy them again. That being said it's the normal stuff, and on really cold days I'm still using my UA Extreme cold gear. (But as said its the normal wickers where this is UA more top end line)

Wickers is sold all over the place. Bought their base layer tops/bottoms for an ex and she never had any complaints. Seems very comparable to most other poly stuff in that price range like Columbia, etc...
