New board advice

Looking at switching from a real old ns legacy like 06 to something smaller and softer. Im about 215 wear size 12 so prob need something wide. I like the way the ns rode it seemed stable at speed at least for me. but its real heavy want something shorter with more pop. Dont do really any park yet but like to hit natural jumps. Would something Like a Gnu Carbon Credit fit the bill or am i way off base. Its been a while since i looked at boards and read about the different techs. Its alot to take in.
