Kinked my Kink

Well... Not sure how much life is left in this board now. Pretty sure I could feel this transitioning in hard carves, felt really weird like my board was twisting and I was gonna catch an edge. Kinda disappointed as I really love this board, but I guess three seasons of park is pretty damned good.

Sucks man, but you're doing better than me, I've pretty much killed two boards this year!

Consider that board a park deck only at this point. Rides are notorious for having that happen. At least you guys don't have to explain to companies why you obliterated 2 next years decks while doing "reviews".

Because someone has to call it how they see it!

I wish! Recently I've been talking to some of the companies I'd like to get replacement boards from, mentioned that I wrecked my last board in a competition (i.e. they'd be getting their name out even if it was near the bottom of the standings! lol).

But nobody's shipped me a free board yet.

I'm starting to think used is the way to go for a primary deck. I picked up a 2012 Custom this year for $145 (after I sold the bindings), and it's in good shape for my standards. I could ruin that thing and even if I only got three days on it I'd still be ahead of the game.

I had my tail (but not the edge) break this year on a three month old whammy bar, really weighing getting another burton or somethin else next year

Meh, this was a park deck the day I bought it, I can't complain it held up really well actually. It has about 90+ park days on it... I mean like intermediate park rider days haha... I have nothing but good things to say and I would buy another Kink in a heart beat.

How the hell did you destroy 2 boards? lol

File that thing down and rip it. I had a Nitro T1 that I rode in the park for 2 season's after an edge cracked like that. No problems with catching at all. That things still got a lot of life left.

Good to know. It's been cracked for a couple weeks now but its starting to kink which is what worries me, that V shape doesn't run well on the heel edge.

Yeah my T1 was pretty stiff so the crack had no effect on the flex of the board. I know the Kink is pretty soft so it may be more prone to folding or creasing. I'd still run it until you can't anymore. You might be surprised how long it will last you.
