Default Advise for new board

I have been riding a 157 Econico and a 161 T6. Eco is almost dead. I am in NZ. Powder days are rare. Snow is generally hard packed and blue ice off piste is common. I spend a fair amount of time backcountry. I seem to be boarding more with skiers. I am aggressive boarder and love speed and steepness. Also love findind powder stashes in drifts.

Its next to impossible to demo a board in NZ. I am keen to add a magne traction hybrid combo to the big camber boards. Any advise from peeps who have gone to Mervin boards would be awesome.

Am I gonna be disappointed with a T Rice? Am I going to be better of with a hot knife?
