Beginner Looking for some help

Hi Guys,

I am looking for a board i can progress with for sometime.

Ive got my basis down like linking turns and progressing fast.

I can go snowboarding maybe 2weeks a year tops / with maybe 3-4days of 1day trips to Sweden.

My Stats
95Kg
186cm height
boot size around 9,5-10 US size.

My style of riding.

Mostly Grooms and all mountain ( maybe 5% park)

I want to use Flow bindings for the ease.

Boards ive narrowed it down to.

Never Summer Proto / SL ( i am not sure if this is a too advanced board ) however i am very keen on Never Summer boards.

Ride Machete
Gnu Carbon
Burton Hero
Nitro Prime
Arbour Formula

My concern is what size board i should go with ( thinking something along 160-165`?)

However for easier progression 159?

I hope you guys can help me out.

I'd pick the SL 160-162.

I would go with a lib tech skate banana in 159. Good all mountain board that will help with your progression and also keep up with it

I don't know who is telling you that the skate banana is an amazing all mountain board, cos from all accounts it is not.

You'd be better off with the Gnu CC than the skate banana IMO. Anyway there are a lot of boards out there that would suit what you want, do a heap of research yourself and then come back with some more specific question, i.e. comparison between certain boards.

my names's Petey and i have gigantic balls

+1 for the SL, it will suit your riding style well. To answer your question, no it is not too advanced for you.

I've also ridden the Skate Bananna and it was good too, but for mainly cruising groomers I'd 100% of the time rather be riding an SL due to its stability at speed and overall smoothness. The Bananna with its magnetraction just doesn't feel good at speed IMO, and I've always had th connotation that it is more of a park-based board in general.
