Default Snowboard and Binding concern

Hey guys, just had a question for you all, and this forum has been very helpful and interesting so far.
I just bought a burton 151 clash 08 snowboard and burton cartel 08 bindings. The binding plate is a bit longer than the width of the board, causing the binding to go off the board a tiny bit (maybe 2-3mm), not a whole lot. From the back of the snowboard it appears to be fine, no plate showing. I was wondering if this would be a problem when I'm snowboarding? (I ordered the bindings online and have fitted them onto the board already) Thanks guy.

How much do you weigh?

What size are your boots?

By edge of the board, do you mean the top or the whole board (sidewalls+edges)?

it sounds like no stress to me

but with the holes in the binder plate being perpendicular to the edge, you could adjust the binder backwards or forwards a smidgeon if the overhang is just on one of either the toe or heel edge.

if it is on both, maybe a change of a few degrees to your binding angles would help without impacting on your riding style too much?

duck it out fella!

Hey guys thanks for the responses.
I'm about 155-160lbs, with a size 10 boot (burton 09 moto's) if that helps any at this point.
I think I'm just gonna go with it, the plate isn't off the board, just meeting it at the edges.
For reference, here are a couple of pictures that I was talking about.

Its normal to have your binding hang a bit over you're fine.
