Inserts not properly centered

I just bought a new twin tip freestyle board (Darkstar) and when I got home I took out the measuring tape to find out that the inserts are not properly centered on the board. It is meant to be ridden centered stance. The inserts are ~1cm back; using the bindings I was able to get it within about 5mm off center. (note that adjacent inserts are 1 inch = 2.54cm apart)

My question is : how much difference can 5mm make? Will I realize it when riding switch or not? I contacted K2 about this, and I think I could get them to exchange the board (seems like it is not within their tolerances), but I don't want to go through all the hassle and the time waiting. What would you guys do?

I'd send it off for a new one, but you won't die with 5mm.

I agree to ride it. Unless it will make you feel better to have the exact centered setup, send it back. Snow isnt here yet, you paid a good amount probably. "customer satisfaction." if your not happy send it back. I dont ride switch that much, but if I did I would send it back.

Is it this years Darkstar? This years should be truly centered if its last years if I remember correctly its slightly off set. Anyways its not going to matter I ride switch fine with about an inch to inch and a half of set back.

Angry Snowboarder Because someone has to call it how they see it!
