Depends on the board eh? Friend had his brand new Proto not waxed and it was flying over the wet snow in Mammoth. We buckled up on a cat track and I swear there was no way he'd make it but he just went.

Day 2 it was sticky. Remember this is really wet slush.

I never really noticed wax until this year slush time. I waxed previous years because that's what you were supposed to do. But this year I waxed prior to day 1 in spring corn/slush and it was fast. I was lazy, thinking it'd be fine day 2. Huge mistake. I was sticking like crazy.

Now I'll just wax.
