i've had polar opposite experiences with factory wax this year - one was awesome for two days, and one was absolutely terrible. same company too!
since you went thru the trouble of getting a new board, you should just get a kit, and wax it yourself. someone on here posted a cheap way to piece together a kit if you're on a budget.
like the above poster said - it's probably beneficial to keep your experience with your board consistent as well... i was kinda bummed on one of my boards with factory wax, as it seemed to get sucked into the spring slush - then took it home and hot waxed... the next day it was amazing.
