First board too big?

Hey my friend offered to sell me his Salomon Storm 159 for a decent price, it will be my first board and I'm not sure about the size. I'm 5'11 140 lbs, is that going to be to big for me, one friend says no because of my height and the other said yes due to my weight. Also I know this gets asked a million times on here and i tried to do a search but just couldn't get a clear answer.

Depends on your riding style.

This is going to be my first board and won't be used for parks or anything like that, just newbie get myself to the bottom type stuff.

its a bit big for your size. especially for a first timer.
i suggest going to the shop. renting a setup, and getting the basics down first.
then you can decide what you want to ride and more importantly, how you want to ride it.
