Default Costs to demo a board?

I know this will vary widely based on location and price of the board, I just want a general idea of the costs for a board that would be $400-500.

I have a 162 Billy Goat and wanted a shorter, more playful board to complement it. I was looking at demoing one of next years models or getting a 2013 Capita DOA, Lib TRS or Gnu Riders Choice in 156-159 range, seen them all under $300.
