Another girlfriend board thread..

So I'm trying to help my girlfriend pick out a new board for next season and possibly the rest of this season. She currently rides a Atomic Tika, but she demo'd a GNU Ladies Pickle and really liked the way it rode.

I was thinking she would like the feel of a little camber in there and go with a camber-rocker-camber profile. So far we've been looking at the GNU Ladies Choice and the Flow Jewel.

Any one have any opinions of these two boards? Any other suggestions?

I would say she's an advancing beginner at the moment, but she doesn't want to get something she would grow out of in the near future. I don't see any park in the future, mostly groomers and Colorado powder/trees.

Thanks for any help/suggestions.

Lady friend of mine recently got the Gnu Ladies choice. She wanted something with a similar CRC profile to my Never Summer Proto CT after I let her ride it a few times. She Loves it! We even got a chance for her to ride it in a foot & half of rare MI. POW!

I would say my friend is a Competent NooB rider. (formerly a skier.) She's comfortable making nice carving linked turns on green & blue runs, started to pick up riding switch our last two times out! She even handled a couple of steeper Northern MI black diamond runs with increasing confidence! She loved the float it had in the deeper stuff & she was riding it on the hard & soft groomers as proficiently as she did her old cambered deck once we got the right bindings on it! (She preferred something in a stiffer mens Med binding to get the same feeling of control & response she got on her old board.)

Hope that helps!

Thanks guys! I guess she can't really go wrong with either. I've pretty much only read good things about both boards. The biggest difference appears to be the MTX and the asym on the LC. I've read some people don't really care for the MTX and consider it too "catchy". In about a year or so we could end up in the east coast, mid-west, or pnw. I know MTX would be preferred out east and in the mid-west, but would it be a detriment if we were riding in Oregon?

Check this board out, great women's board, got it for a riding buddy (not a girlfriend, just someone I have known since elementary school and picked up riding together,) but she loves it so far and it's at a great price right now.

Rome Vinyl Rocker, flat base with raised tips, not to soft, not too stiff. Great price for the board it is. Essentially the woman's version of the Mod rocker.

Edit: Check it out on Evo outlet, for some reason the link is not showing up.

There we go, link working now.
