Charlie slasher 154 or 158?
Im going mental trying to decide wich size to get. Im 5'10"(maybe closer to 5'11") and between 120-130lbs depending on the earths gravity.

Now before you say 154 let me say i know the 154 is enough. My thoughts are if i already have a 153 board i can use on smaller powder days would it be wiser to get the charlie in a 158? Boards strictly going to be my deep day board for when i head out west next season, and it wont touch a groomed run ever.

I cant decide if the 158 would just be overkill or not. Im sure im just over complicating my decision and will be happy with a 154. :dizzy: someone drill a hole in my head please....

Go for the 158 - At 5'11 the 58 is fine for deep pow-

I am 6'3 and ride the 164 - It is my favorite board I own- :D

Should be able to find one on sale somewhere -

I'm 5'11 and ride the 58. You could get away riding the 54 for sure though. The board floats like a dream.

My advice? Don't buy a Charlie Slasher.

I have a 164 and absolutely love it, but you live in PA. You're coming out west for a snowboarding trip next season. Great. You may or may not luck into a day or two that's worthy of a true pow stick. If you do, demo one. You're just not going to get enough use out of it to justify buying one.

Probably have a hard time finding one to demo. We don't do rental programs.

My Charlie is from year 1, and I can easily get a new one every season for free. My point here is, it's a quiver board. Once you have one, it's good for many many years.

The Charlie Slasher certainly isn't the only pow stick out there. He could demo a Jones Hovercraft, Salomon Sick Stick, NS Cobra, etc.

It just doesn't make much sense to have a dedicated pow stick while living in PA.

Pretty sure it snows on the East Coast as well...

Charlie Slasher isn't "West Coast" specific ha. Plus, he can act like a true American, consume, consume, consume..

It doesnt make much sense to play a piano when your blind but stevie wonders did pretty good.....or so im told.

Its a snowboard, its not going to vanish after one season. even if i was to get only one day on powder next year i still have a lifetime i could use the board.

I have extra money to blow from all the overtime i work, lifes good right now, ill ride this wave untill it dies out.

I appreciate your concern but your basing your judgement off a single variable when theres multiple variables at work here that oppose your thoughts.

Again i do thank you for your concern and response, i know it was only ment to help.

im 175 and ride the 158, seems like a good size to me

i would get the 154, you are pretty light, im not much of a believer in riding huge boards for pow anymore, it used to be the best way to get float, now you can have a nice shape with rocker and ride the same size you normally do.
