Cool Lookin for a new board (how many times have you read that...)

Hey guys (hopefully girls too)
I'm looking for a new board and have been riding for awhile now. I was thinking of getting a burton, forum or gnu...any suggestions...this is like my first time finally trying to do my own research on what i want so i might ask some pretty ridiculous questions considering the fact i have been riding for so long...
Here goes...
-on flexability of a board what are the benefits of a soft one compared to a stiffer one?
-if i'm 5'4 and weigh 105 whats the best lenght of board?

ok well that's all i can think of now. Thanks

stiffer board more for freeriding faster more stable at high speeds......soft good for freestyle riding manuals, jibs.....i enjoy freeriding on a soft board other people will tell you different

as for brands im a big rome fan but who isnt nowadays....length i would say depends what kind of riding you want to do
