Burton Baron ES Snowboard

I've got a friend who's planning on buying a snowboard this year. He saw a package deal on craigslist for a Burton Baron ES snowboard, burton freestyle bindings, and some boots. He said the snowboard was ridden only once and for the whole package it's only $250. Would you say this is a good deal? And is this a good snowboard? He's not too great but he's mediocre at snowboarding. He's pretty tall and has like size 13 feet. Not too much into the terrain park but I plan on changing that. Thx~

BTW, the board is 2005 and the bindings are 2006. And he said he's lowering the price to 175.

I would say that its pretty nice for a Burton. The Baron is what they had before they came out with the Custom Wide. They are very similar, if not the same.

Its the wide version of the custom x with the shittest bindings Burton makes. Its a counter productive set up let alone I would not put someone of his level on it.

Because someone has to call it how they see it!

I had the 06/07 Burton Baron and personally didn't like it at all. Then again im mostly a park rider and needed a true twin with more flex. If he plans on charging mountain then it will do fine for him. I could pretty most straight shot any run on most mountains with it. VERY Stiff.
