This idea seemed silly to me at first. I'm considering to buy an 08 Burton Elite and i recently found out it has a leather topsheet. i haven't been able to get much info on it but would like to know if having a leather topsheet has any advantages or disadvantages...don't wana buy something i dont want..

It is probably more of just a marketting gimmick as opposed to functionality. It probably just looks neat. I know that Burton has a few boards with the whole ostrich, etc skinned rides.

Its not real leather, or I'm fairly sure its not real leather anyways. But its definately the topsheet. Bust out the wood burner and start branding that shit.

Well like yeah...Burton has made other boards with a leather topsheet like the dominant but i think its from a couple years back. I haven't really seen the board in person which is why im asking on here. But i thought the same like leather wouldnt really hold up well on a board. so yeah im not too sure anymore on buying the elite. if anyone else has this board or has seen it plz post or something...
