I'm considering to buy an 08 Burton Elite and i recently found out it has a leather topsheet. i haven't been able to get much info on it but would like to know if having a leather topsheet has any advantages or disadvantages...don't wana buy something i dont want..

It is probably more of just a marketting gimmick as opposed to functionality. It probably just looks neat. I know that Burton has a few boards with the whole ostrich, etc skinned rides.

Well like yeah...Burton has made other boards with a leather topsheet like the dominant but i think its from a couple years back. I haven't really seen the board in person which is why im asking on here. But i thought the same like leather wouldnt really hold up well on a board. so yeah im not too sure anymore on buying the elite. if anyone else has this board or has seen it plz post or something...
