Get boots first. You want to make sure that your boots fit your feet, and your bindings. It's fine to have different brand boots/bindings/board. You don't need Burton bindings because there are some companies that will send you discs that can be used to mount them onto Burton boards.
Companies will send a disk that will alow you to mount any bindings to a Burton board, but the standard 4x4 baseplate will still work if you turn it 45 degress, it will line up. You definately don't need to match everything, but get boots first so you can match the bindings perfectly with your boots.
so i just found out that not getting the burton indie i;m gettin the burton canyon instead. the canyon is considered wide and i;ve look and it seems that 10.5 could use either regular board or a wide board? true??
