Freestyle board for dry slopes

Hi all,

In a month the local dry slope is gonna open again and the new season starts. I bought a Never Sumer Heritage earlier but I feel this is gonna be a waste on the dryslopes so instead I was hoping to make some progress on my freestyle (ground tricks) riding.

Are there any recommendable medium priced boards available that don't mind getting scraped to death on a dry slope and are fun to learn switches/butters/presses on?

I was already looking at the Salomon Drifter, Nitro T1 and the Lib Tech Skate Banana. Any advice on these three?

i wouldn't think it really matters?

maybe go to a place that sells used boards and feel them out? test their flex, and get a short softer one... i'm sure you'll not need a brand new board for this, really.
for example, my town has a used sports equipment store, and i bought a cambered NS SL 158 (2007) for about $10. Just had to sharpen the edges. perfect low coverage board.

You're totally right on that one. As a matter of fact I saw a nice second hand Salomon Drifter the other day so I was wondering whether this one would work as a 'beginners' freestyle board.

Honestly I have no idea what a dryslope does to a board's durability/condition so I thought I'd check that out before doing anything
