Lookin for a board

Ok, guys and gals. I am looking to get into snowboarding. I was out a few times last year but really wanna do more this year so i was thinkin about buyin a board instead of renting. What are your thoughts on that? I have been looking on craigslist in my area and have found a few things but i dunno if thats the way to go either. I have found a few that i liked but then i have found out they are like 7 years old for like 200 and some bucks seems a little steep to me.. does that make a difference. I guess i have a lot of questions. I am 6'2 250 so i have been lookin for boards in the high 160's hope someone has some input.

here are a few that i have been lookin at.

Burton Supermodel 169 w/Burton Custom Bindings & Bag
Burton Snowboard, Bindings, Boots and Bag

also whats a far price to pay for a used board.. thanks hope you can help.

You'll want to check out this thread first, if you haven't already:

Lots of basic information there so you won't have to ask every question twice.

As for pricing, it varies based on the board. I wouldn't worry about getting a recommended brand as it is mostly preference. Just find a board that suits your needs. You'll probably find quality last-season new boards for ~$300 for good stuff.
