Help on Burton Board

Will I be able to make some turns and even nice carves on my brand new X8? I won it in a draw but really wanna be able to ride groomers, I know it won't handle pow. But like cant i bring a tool and for groomers and even light pow just put the back bindings lower so I get a directional twin / directional stance? I'm going to jib a lot, but I wanna know I can hit some runs and get to the park.
