new board for the new season
So I've been snowboarding from probably 5 years or something around that and I've had the same board, a Sims Heiress, that whole time. Since I bought that as my "beginner board" I figured I'm long overdue for a new one.
I'm not sure what brand I'm going to go for yet, but I planned on keeping my Salomon bindings and K2 boots because they're in decent considtion. Even though my dad has a hybrid board, and I know they're getting more popular, I'm going to stick with a traditional camber, 147 height because it works for me.
Any tips or suggestions for my board hunting?
Finding straight up traditional camber is a little harder nowadays especially for the womens.
So, some boards that have more camber than rocker for ya: Salomon Gypsy, Ride OMG, Ride Hellcat, Nitro Fate Flat or Camber.

They're available in 147/150/153 and up. The site says it's camber with rockered tips, but here's a pic I took of it from the side on a flat surface...
You can see it's got a healthy dose of camber with just very lightly lifted tips. Unless you're on ice all the time, this would be a great variable condition board. They're just a little more expensive.
Here's her wailing on it last year, she's been on a board for 4 seasons now.
It bites good! She says it carves well...
Might want to look into the Lib Tech Hot Knife.
