Need help choosing equipment

This will be the second year I'm going to be boarding. I went twice last year and rented both times. Wasn't very nice renting since the bindings had issue tighting and the discomfort of the boots. I'm just looking for some decent gear to start out with.
1.I'm about 170lbs and 5 10
2. 9.5 in sneaker size. I read that I should actually try on boots before actually deciding on them. Also im flat footed, is there any special boots i should be lookin at?
3. I really dont know my style, Last year i just rode the bunny slopes while i was learning.
4. 19 yrs
5. Went to some mountain with friends last year up in western mass. But i plan or riding down at some local hills around my area(fields, golf courses)
6. Looking to spend around 600-800 for boots, bindings and board.

Your actually just about my dimensions, and personally I prefer freeride to the park. I had a 160 Ride Decade last year, and that was just about right, but just barely. Ive got a 159 anthem this year, and Im hoping
the tech of that board will help me out a bit more. If your going to be more park oriented, I would definitely go to a 156, much more responsive feel.

I prefer freeride as well over park, since im not so into big tricks and things. I prefer just crusing down. I was either thinking of the forum recon or the Ride Control 162
