Default First Jib/Freestyle board

Hey all,

I'm looking at buying my first jib / freestyle board as a total beginner in the park and am looking for some advice in what to go for. I'll be using it entirely at an indoor snowdome for freestyle nights which include rails, boxes and small jumps.

I'm 5'9, weigh 165 pounds and wear size 9UK/10US boots.

I've narrowed my choice down to:

2013 K2 WWW - 151
2013 Rome Artifact Rocker -153
2013 Lobster Jib / Park (not sure which board is best or which size to go for)

I'm fairly confident any of these will be suitable but I'm just curious if any of them would be preferable and whether I have the sizing right. Maybe there's a different board I've not looked at which I should consider?

Thanks for your help.

i have both a jib and park board from lobster. if it's solely for indoor jibs/boxes and small jumps, i'd get the jib board. the park board might be a bit much for this type of riding, although would not be a bad choice either! i just think the jib board would be more fun, it's pretty soft, but you can still haul ass with it and do small jumps etc.

i'm pretty much the same exact stats as you, and i'm riding a 148. i love it! you can go up to the 151 in the jib board, and honestly a 154 in the park board. i'd suggest this actually. i have the 148 jib board, and it's purely for jibs and riding on shit outside my place in the streets and stuff. suuuuuuper fun board!

my park board is a 151, and i like it more for going really fast on rollers/natural features etc. i'm still not hitting bigger kickers, but i've been skating the concrete park a lot again, so this year i will be for sure. i wish the 154 was available in the shop i bought it from, but i sized down, and i'm not too mad about it.

bottom line - i say go with the jib board in a 151

If you have actually found a 151 Weapon, buy it. It's the camber version and still something I keep my eye out for and would buy on the spot.

The 2013 K2 WWW 151 is a rockered snowboard, Jib Rocker to be specific.
